About Us |
|
Stefan Reinold received a Master’s Degree in Forestry from Colorado State University, Ft. Collins in November of 2002 with a 4.0 GPA. He remained at CSU as a research associate until January of 2004. He worked on research determining harvesting costs, developing contractor lists, and putting on equipment demonstrations, while also teaching a few courses. Stefan taught a class titled Field Forestry Practices which gave students a chance to operate equipment and get a better feel for the work entailed with forest thinning. Stefan also taught Timber Management, a course analyzing forest conditions to determine what practices are needed to reach a set of desired goals. Students were responsible for inventorying, analyzing, and making decisions on how to manage 40 acre stands. Each four-person group was responsible for writing a Forest Management Plan for their assigned property. The course walked them through writing Forest Management Plans, detailing the necessary information while allowing flexibility for individual design. Stefan moved to the Denver area in January 2004 and worked half-time with the Colorado State Forest Service. He completed revision work on Forest Management Plans while also completing prescribed fire work. The remaining half-time Stefan worked for the Jefferson Conservation District securing cost-share funding assistance for forest landowners through the 2002 Farm Bill. This assistance is used for forest restoration practices including forest thinning and re-forestation. Presently Stefan works full time for Colorado Forest Management, LLC Click here for Stefan’s Resume. |
