Description: This page contains a walk through on setting up Mac OS 10.2 Mail for Comcast.
Symptoms: Can't send or receive comcast.net email.
Goal: Follow these steps to setup Mail for comcast.net.
- When launching Mail for the first time you will see this dialog box to import other mailboxes. Click No.
- Click the Mail menu and choose Preferences.
- In the Accounts pane click Add Account.
- In the Account Information window click on .Mac and change it to POP.
- Fill in the appropriate Comcast email account information.
- Click the
button and fill in outgoing mail server information and click OK.
- Click OK to close the Account Information window.
- Ensure that new account is listed then click red button to close window.
