Installing/Reinstalling Flash
Mac OS 8.x-9.x

Description: This page covers how to install Flash Player.

Symptoms: If the flash content of www.comcast.net is not displayed or if you get the dialog box below about installing Flash Player

Goal: To install Flash Player. 

1. If Flash Player is not install you will see this dialog box on www.comcast.net. Click the button to Get macromedia Flash Player.
   




2. This will take to Macromedia's download page for Flash Player. Click the button for Download.hqx button.
   



3. The Download Manger will open and the Install Flash Player 7 file will download. The default download location is the Desktop.
   



4. When the file is finished downloading you will see this icon: . Double click on the icon to begin the installation.
5. The installation starts with this dialog box.
   




6. Select the top box for installing Flash Player in Internet Explorer then click the Install button.
   



7. You will see this dialog box to confirm the location of Internet Explorer. Click OK to continue.
   



8. Click OK to this dialog box. This will automatically add more RAM to Internet Explorer to increase it's stability with Flash.
   



9. Click Quit to finish.
