How to Uninstall Flash
Using the Macromedia Flash Removal tool
In Mac OS 8.x-9.x

To uninstall Flash follow these directions.

Open Internet Explorer and go to: www.macromedia.com/support/flashplayer

When the page is finished loading click the link for Troubleshooting Macromedia Flash Player for Windows and Macintosh.



Click on How to remove Macromedia Flash Player from your computer.



Click on uninstall_flash_player.hqx to download the Flash Removal tool.



The Download Manager will open and you will see the software download.



The downloaded file will look like this on the desktop .  This is a compressed file.

It should automatically decompress into a file that looks like this .  Double click on this file to start the process of Flash removal.

After double clicking the "Uninstall Flash Player" icon you will see this dialog box.  Click the Uninstall button to begin the process.



After the process is completed you will see the dialog box below. Click the Finish button.



The Flash uninstall process is complete.
