Karen, YOU are amazing!!
After coming in day 1 (and getting a couple pictures taken) I made my way to the Remembrance Tents. You feel you're walking on hallowed, sacred ground as you approache the tents,
I stepped inside and came to the Seattle Remembrance Tent. There were so many photos hung of past 3 Day participants-I slowly walked around reading when and where these women had walked and/or crewed. I think often about all the women, their families and friends I walk for. But they are uppermost in my thoughts and heart for the 60 miles of the 3 Day.
The 3 Day makes you feel like you're doing something concrete, something that'll make a difference and as such, I typically don't feel an overwhelming saddness. but as I started to write the names of the women on the Seattle tent tears welled up. Finally I finished and looked at what I wrote....I thought about them and all the people that loved and cared for these women

We've got to put an end to breast cancer once and for all.
Note: When I checked the picture I noticed it appeared the tent was pink. The tent is actually white but I guess with all the pink inside reflecting everywhere it bathed the tent in pink as well....kind of appropriate wouldn't you say?
