A Good Fix for Razor Scooter Grips
We own four Razor Scooters, and they get heavy use. Unfortunately, it has been our experience that the grips deteriorate rapidly.
One time, I plunked down the cash to buy replacement grips. They were difficult to put on, and they also didn't hold up to heavy use. We tried wrapping duct tape around the grip, and, as you might imagine, that didn't work so well.
Then we found a solution that really works. The wrap used to replace the grip of a tennis racquet handle is just perfect. It was also less expensive than Scooter grips. I got it in the Sporting Goods section at WalMart. You can see one of the types available from Amazon.com on the right.
In case you really want to go with replacement grips, Amazon.com also sells those (for a much lower price than I paid several years ago).
