How I Cool My Bread
Here is the simple way I cool my bread. Put a knife across the rim of a dinner plate and prop the bread up on the knife. That let's enough air circulate to keep the bottom from getting soggy. I know I could use a cooling rack, but this method doesn't leave crumbs on the counter. Also, it's one less thing to wash since I'll be using the plate and knife when I cut the bread anyway (I use a Corelle dinner plate as my bread cutting board).
