FOOD SHARING
The Community Ministry of North Augusta is a nonprofit ministry sponsored by local churches to provide emergency and temporary services to persons in need who live within the Area 2 School District that includes much of North Augusta and Belvedere (Aiken County, South Carolina).
The food distribution program provides grocery products to the hungry. Food is provided to families who presently have no food and no income and will need food assistance until they can apply and receive food stamps or get back into the work force. Supplementary food items are provided weekly to those persons on very low incomes.
Help Fight Hunger in our Area
by donating non-perishable food items such as:
- Canned Fruit
- Canned Meats (Tuna, Salmon, Corn Beef, Beef Stew, Spam, Vienna Sausage)
- Canned or Dried Soup
- Canned Vegetables
- Dietary Supplements (Ensure)
- Dried Beans (1 lb. to 3 lb. sizes)
- Canned Milk
- Grits, Oatmeal, Cereal
- Jelly, Preserves (We are not allowed to give homemade items)
- Macaroni and Cheese
- Peanut Butter
- Ready to eat Pop-Top food for transients
- Rice (1 lb. to 3 lb. size)
- Spaghetti Sauce
Also, Laundry Detergent, Paper Products, Cleaning Supplies and Personal Hygiene Items
- Bath Soap
- Deodorant
- Diapers (all sizes)
- Dishwashing Detergent
- Disposable Razors
- Laundry Detergent
- Paper Towels
- Toilet Tissue
- Toothpaste
Food may be dropped off at the Ministry during regular hours, which are Wednesday - Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.. Or, to arrange a special drop off time, please call (803) 279-5771.
