My Friends' Pages

Dan Durda - Space artist, astronomer, pilot, and aspiring astronaut

Frank Reddy - Science author; check out his page for current celestial events and really cool animations!

Dirk Terrell - Astronomer, system manager, space artist... Jack of all trades, and master of them all!

Observing Satellites

Heavens Above - The place to go for predictions of all kinds, including Iridium flares.

The Visual Satellite Observer's Home Page - Observing guides, tips, photos, links. Great place for those interested!

J-Track 3D at the Marshall Space Flight Center - The big picture, from the place where I work!

Asteroid and Comet Risk to Earth

Asteroid and Comet Impact Hazard - Lots of good stuff here; nice place to go for novices in the field.

JPL's Near Earth Object (NEO) Program Office - This is the place to check out if you hear about an asteroid or comet close approach on the news - gives the straight dope on the object and the chances of it hitting.

The Planetary Society's NEO Page - Popular site, with some information and good links.

Egyptology

Hieroglyphs.net - Outstanding resource on ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, with some nifty tools for newbies and vets alike!

Egyptology Resources - Excellent portal to the world of ancient Egypt.

Babylonian and Egyptian Mathematics - Yep, it's true... even the school kids in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia had to suffer through good ole arithmetic.

History

The Hall of Ma'at (Truth) - A site that takes a skeptical look at alternative "histories," like Atlanteans building the pyramids. Highly recommended, especially if you have read any of Graham Hancock's books.

Fun Links

Starship Dimensions  - Ever wanted to how the big the Enterprise was compared to Babylon 5? This site will show you - and a lot more...
