Here you can view some of my favorite vintage MX pictures I've taken over the last few years. These were all taken at various dates at either Woodland, Riverdale, or Washougal. I can't tell you what I like about these photos, except that they seem to catch the spirit of MX racing. There is something about each of these shots that makes my blood pump. Motocross, baby - Yeah!
Oh yeah, any pic with this bozo in it (#319) is me, and obviously WAS NOT taken by me. I don't know who took this one, Siege? Nancy? Donny? Drop me a line and I'll gladly give credit where credit is due.

I can't tell if this is Chris or Ryan Lucas, but either way, wow!

Jay Nelson blasts through the "whoop section", *Cough*, Washougal

Tim Sullivan, Chris Walther...and that's me, #319 way in the back...

Same corner, one lap latter, me knife-fighting Mark Mitman, #32v. Good race. I finished Fourth.
I had to really flog that 430XC to do so. The wide ratio gears just weren't right for an MX track, and the guys in that class were fast that day.
I was very happy with Fourth. Riverdale, April 2007

I need to ask Leon the story behind this marvel of early water-cooling. It's pretty damned cool.

Steve Parker came all the way from California with a non-VDR compliant bike.
They let him race anyhow, and he DESTROYED the competition!
Watching him do so, I don't think the bike made any difference at all. Dude is fast. Period.
You can see it in his form in this photo. Fast.
Washougal H&T 2007

Scotty "Screwy" Sherbert leads the duck pack, Washougal H&T 2007
Screwy lives across the valley from me here in Olympia, I think I was the
only neighbor who objected to his halting his annual Screwydilla backyard mini race.
Give 'em hell, Screwy!

Me again. Hey, It's my website...I'm a narcissist.
I think this is my favorite picture to date. Balls out in the Open Expert class. Jay Lael, #71x, and his friends fiercely dive into the first corner!
I have more...
I'd like to thank Siege, and Joe Stagg for the pictures of me (#319). All the other pictures Copyright © 2003-2007 Chris Sehmel, All rights reserved.
