CORVN: Coalition against ORV Nuisances

 

CORVN is a coalition of Washington State citizens working together to restore peace and safety to neighborhoods and wild areas which are disturbed by ORV (Off-Road Vehicle) use.

Contact us

 

CORVN serves as a support group and resource center for citizens concerned about ORV nuisances. Nuisances include:

  • excessive noise
  • dust and emissions
  • damage to lands
  • danger to wilderness users
  • eyesores and reduced property values
  • tensions between neighbors.

CORVN's goals include:

  • more peaceful neighborhoods and natural areas
  • safer neighborhoods and natural areas
  • better enforcement and better laws against ORV nuisances
  • support for ORV use where they will not disturb people, wildlife, land, or water.

NEWS: Hurrah! The improved Thurston County noise ordinance passed on 6 June 2005! Show this to the Sheriff's Deputies when you call them out to enforce it. Here are the differences from the old ordinance. Thank you to Susan Bogni and the County Prosecuting Attorney's office for writing, and to the Commissioners for passing, this new & improved ordinance.
