Read the story of the first episode from Jack's point of view!

Jack's gang was small and definitely on the weak end of the scale.  They stuck to small time stuff and a small piece of turf.  Then Jack started noticing a strange girl, squatting in an abandoned building in their neighborhood.  He went up there one night by himself to see what he could take from her, knowing she probably didn't have much.  He surprised her, and then she turned around and surprised him by fighting back.  Kicking, scratching, biting... she almost bit his damn ear off, to tell the truth.  Jack let her go after that, she wasn't worth the trouble.  She fled into the night and once the stitches came out, he didn't give her much of a another thought.  Next full moon though, he trashed his own house and killed one of his own guys when he turned into a werewolf.  He managed to keep himself locked up until the moon ran its course, and went looking for a cure.  At one of the city's real-deal occult bookstores, he found something even better... a way to turn this to your advantage.  Through some magic and a lot of self-discipline, Jack tamed your inner beast.  He no longer blacks out when he changes, and the change comes at will regardless of the moon's phase.  He's passed his power on to other members of the gang.  They're working on the whole self-discipline thing; they can stay in control when they change, but they still have to wait for the moon to change them.  The gang has been slowly taking out other unsuspecting gangs over the last few months, absorbing their members and their territories.  Now they're ready to take on the big time.  They've discovered why control of the drug trade seems to be out of their grasp, and it's because of the vampire who practically runs the whole city.  Jack started to float the rumor that you plan to take him on, while still keeping it secret the power they have up their sleeve.  When he shows up, thinking to take them out without breaking a sweat, he's in for a surprise.  And the full moon is only one night away.
