3 August 2005Ta-da! I have finished and published photos of my travels in France. Yeah! I can check that one off my list of things to do. Check it out for Tim's take on Paris and places like that. And, as always, let me know what you think. 31 July 2005I'm back from my little, four-week jaunt abroad and am slowly updating my LiveJournal blog and, what I think everyone is most anxious to see, my photo albums. If you have not been reading my blog you might be interested to know that I took approximately 2400 pictures while I was wandering around Italy and Francethat's not quite a hundred a day. I've now done my best to pare those down to fewer than 200 imagesroughly 100 each for Italy and France. That's still a lot and I apologize. Still, I think you can flip through my albums fairly quickly. I hope so anyway. As I write this, the album covering Italy is finished and about to go live; its French twin will probably take another few days. Please note: A lot of really good images ended up on the cutting room floor and, if you are among those who get cornered into watching my slideshow, rest assured that you will see new things. Also, if you see a picture you are particularly enamored with, let me know and I'll send you a high-resolution copy. If you haven't already, you might want to take a look at the blog entries about my time in Italy as they are the narrative the photos illustrate. I should point out that additional images and commentary can be found on Morgan's website and in her blog. Finally, although I think I have done it in several places, I do want to thank those that made my time in Europe especially wonderful: Claudia, Lara, Morgan, Elisabeth, Cathy, Thierry, Lea, and Eva. Looking ahead, once I get my pictures from France posted, I'll be putting together another album or two covering the Seattle visits of friends Christine and Julie and my nephew Joel and his girlfriend, so watch for that. 20 June 2005Finally. Here it is the much revised and updated Infinite Abyss. With luck Ive made things easier to findand then find againas well as to make it flexible enough to take the pain out of updating it with new photo albums and the like. That is the plan anyway. . . . I did want to get this finished before I left for Italy and Francenot that Ill have much of an opportunity or means to update it while Im away (the laptop is staying home), but it should make it easier to keep track of me and, when I get back, for me to post my photos and such. What is hereThis is really designed to be sort of a hub for my online activity. From here you should be able to check out my blog (powered by LiveJournalit makes blogging easy and, unless you want the fancy stuff, free), view my photo albums, meet and visit my friends who are also online, and other things. All this stuff can be accessed through the links at the left side of your screen. If I did it right, it should be fairly self-explanatory, but here's a brief rundown of whats here:
