Fremont's Solstice Parade

I cannot really explain this. Fremont, a neighborhood of Seattle (home to the Troll) hosts a weekend celebration of the Solstice that includes a human-powered alternative parade that winds its way through town before ending up at Gas Works Park. It's a family affair that features bands, local people dancing, and floats pushed and pulled by people along the entire routeÑjust about what you would expect from a small community parade. Although signs and banners with words on them are forbidden, many of the entries have a political content that tilts sharply to the left. And, there are also naked peopleÑnot many but it is not a big deal. If it is to you, mmm, better stop here....
