THE CATHOLIC PACIFIC NORTHWEST
A Program In The 21st Century Of The New Millenium A Pacific Northwest Temple-Basilica Shrine In God's Divine Grace And Will: Jesus' Divine Love And Mercy,
A Christian Ecumenical Evangelization With A Call To Greater Holiness And Sanctification Realized Through Prayer, Intercession, and The Work Of The Holy Spirit - God Will Provide The Way

Catholic Pacific Northwest Renaissance
Preparing a Catholic Christian Culture for Christ's Return
An Inroduction

A Catholic Christian Millennial Renaissance to establish a Catholic Christian Culture in the Pacific Northwest. Through God's Divine Will and Divine Grace, and in the Eternal Light of Jesus Christ, the Divine Love and Divine Mercy seen and recieved In The Holy Eucharist will be prevalent in full perpetual adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament in all Catholic Pacific Northwest parish churches.
A NATION BLESSED BY GOD
In the 1830s, Alexis de Tocqueville, upon touring the United States and seeing a landscape dotted with Christian churches, wrote in his book, "Democracy in America," America would only remain good as long as its people remained good.
Specifically, in his most shrewdest of all observers of American democracy, Alexis de Tocqueville, put it eloquently after he had gone on a search for the secret of America's greatness and genius - and he said: "Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the greatness and the genius of America . . . America is good. And if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great."
Many have considered, because of this reverence for God which the founders of our country had and which many leaders since have had, that God has blessed this country and this land. Because we have professed Christianity and a belief in God as a nation and because we have practiced this, and because we have worshipped, honored, and glorified God and followed in the footsteps of His Son, Jesus Christ, through faith, we are a blessed people. As the Jews of the Old Testament are blessed as a nation and are honored as "God’s People" because they worship the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, America would also remain great as a nation and a people as long as there is the honoring of God and believed in and acceptance of Jesus as His Son, the second person of the Godhead, sent into the world for man’s salvation. Once either stops honoring God, the nation and the people falls under the weight of sin and awaits God’s Judgment.
It is felt by many today that America, under the prosperity and freedom give us, has reached the point of rejecting God and falling under national and personal sin. We now must have both a moral and cultural renaissance and national and personal renewal, or we continue to sin and watch and wait for His judgment and His resulting wrath. Jesus said to discern and be aware but keep watching for His coming.
PACIFIC NORTHWEST - MOST UNCHURCHED REGION OF THE UNITED STATES
The Pacific Northwest is considered the most unchurched area of the United States. This should not be so. All that can be done should be done to change the culture of this area, especially to be that of Christian. In the future when people refer to the Pacific Northwest they should do so by saying it has one of the highest church attendance record of any area of the country and that it has a strong Christian culture.
As people move to this area they are more and more to a high percentage being that of the Christian faith and practice - many, many more are Catholic, especially those from other countries. When they arrive, they should be greeted by a robust Christian community culture and environment having many Christian opportunities. The Christian presence should be obvious and visible everywhere.
It is our responsibility to put our Christian, our Catholic, face and culture out front to greet them as they come. The Pacific Northwest should truly be the most churched area of the country with all living their faith faithfully.
A CHRISTIAN CULTURE - THE FORESHADOWING OF THE NEW AGE OF PEACE:
We do not know the time when earth and humanity will reach their completion, nor do we know the way in which the universe will be transformed. The world as we see it, disfigured by sin, is passing away. But we are sure that God is preparing a new dwelling place and a new earth. In this new earth righteousness is to make its home, and happiness will satisfy, and more than satisfy, all the yearnings for peace that arise in human hearts. On that day, when death is conquered, the sons of God will be raised up in Christ; what was sown, as something weak and perishable will be clothed in incorruption. Love and the fruits of love will remain, and the whole of creation, made by God for man, will be set free from the frustration that enslaves it.
We are warned indeed that a man gains nothing if he wins the whole world at the cost of himself. Yet our hope in a new earth should not weaken, but rather stimulate our concern for developing this earth, for on it there is growing up the body of a new human family, a body even now able to provide some foreshadowing of the new age. Hence, though earthly progress is to be carefully distinguished from the growth of Christ's kingdom, yet in so far as it can help toward the better ordering of human society it is of great importance to the kingdom of God.
The blessings of human dignity, brotherly communion and freedom - all the good fruits on earth of man's co-operation with nature in the Spirit of the Lord and according to his command - will be found again in the world to come, but purified of all stain, resplendent and transfigured, when Christ hands over to the Father an eternal and everlasting kingdom: "a kingdom of truth and life, a kingdom of holiness and grace, a kingdom of justice, love and peace." On this earth the kingdom is already present in sign; when the Lord comes it will reach its completion.
(From the pastoral constitution on the Church in the modern world of the Second Vatican Council)
THE HOLY SPIRIT'S RENEWAL OF THE CHURCH
It is a special gift of the Holy Spirit to the Church in these times, through the light of the Gospel, that one may experience the living encounter with Jesus. It is by faithfulness to God in personal and community prayer, by trust in His word, by the rediscovery of the Sacraments, as well as by maintaining courage in trials and hope in tribulations.
By following this course you can be especially blessed and spiritually animated through the further founding of: ... missionary and contemplative communities; ... spiritual Marian shrines and sanctuaries (that gives one the opportunity to help others deepen their faith, engage spiritual reflection, and strive for holiness and saintliness) and ... incessantly adore, day and night, the Eucharistic mystery.
By emphasizing that all undertake evangelizing activities to promote a constant growth of holiness in the people of God, the Church can receive new saints into our midst. The more we allow the Holy Spirit to make us like Christ, the more saintly the world and we will become. This is the secret of the regenerating experience in the 'effusion of the Holy Spirit,' a typical experience characterizing the path of growth of those who are associated with such church groups and communities.
(John Paul II)
