MidTown Rules - 10 Rounds Race! This is a single elimination Race style tournament! And the dealers are off, hurriedly shuffling those cards…they begin passing them out…are you looking yet…can you see the finish line? Will you be the lucky one to claim the top prize? There is no set number of games to be played in this tournament…INSTEAD... each Player will race to 10 Rounds cumulative. Example of scoring: At the end of each turn your score is the number of rounds that you started on that turn. Continue to add up the number of rounds of each turn until a player reaches a total of 10 rounds or more. If Player 1 reaches the target first (10 rounds), then Player 2 has one last turn to exceed the total cumulative number of rounds of Player 1. If Player 2 exceeds the total cumulative number of rounds of Player 1, then Player 2 is declared the winner. However, if Player 2 does not exceed the total cumulative number of rounds of Player 1, then Player 1 is declared the winner. All rounds will consist of Players playing to 10 cumulative rounds while alternating play, including the Final Round. If after reaching 10 rounds there is a tie, a Sudden Death Match will be played to determine the winner. The player with the most points in the Sudden Death match is declared the winner. Always make sure your Opponent has entered your room before beginning your game. If you start before your Opponent enters your room, you must restart your game. If you were not in an Opponent's room before they started their game, you must notify them before they finish and post their number of rounds for that game. If you do not notify your Opponent before they have posted their number of rounds, then that posted number will stand and they will not have to re-start their game. Once tourney starts, Players will have 5 minutes to begin their first game. No-shows will be reported as a loss. Player listed on top of bracket starts first. ALL scores are to be announced and acknowledged in chat by everyone playing in the tourney. All losses are to be reported on TOURNEY PAGE ONLY!! If you have to type in a name, you are reporting on the wrong page! Immediately request assistance from the hosting TD. If a Player is in the middle of a game and gets disconnected from Hermanubis for any reason, then that Player must start their game over. Unless INVITED by their opponent to do otherwise. If a Player was disconnected and has to reboot, they will have 8 minutes (no ping) or 3 minutes (ping present AND delaying the match) to return to Hemanubis. Multiple reboots may result in disqualification from tournament play and a loss being posted for that Player at the discretion of the Tournament Director. While playing your game, if your OPPONENT is booted - you must halt play immediately and contact the hosting TD, who will then verify your number of rounds. Failure to do so will result in replay of your game. No Player is allowed to play in a league match while playing in the tournament. Any Player found doing so will be disqualified from the tournament immediately! There will be no exceptions to the above rule as this is also a part of Case's rules for all leaguers. You must either halt your league play at the end of the present game being played when tournament starts and keep scores to the side or withdraw from tournament to continue with league match. GOOD LUCK TOWNIES!
