MidTown Rules - Three Strikes! This is a single elimination 3 Strikes - You're Out! style tournament. You'll love this fun game, especially since you get 3 chances to outdo your opponent. In this game, your opponent plays, once finished, you get 3 chances to beat their score. So will it be your 1st game that gets you past it? OR, maybe it will be as the saying goes..."Third time's a charm." Once you do, you advance to a new base, and your opponent now gets their chance. Example of scoring: There is no set number of games for this tourney. For each new "base," the other player has 3 chances to beat the standing score. Player 1 scores: 7090. Player 2 now has 3 chances, in a row (no alternating) to beat that score. Player 2's first score is: 1,690. Since they did NOT beat Player 1, they post in chat..... 1X Player 2's second score is: 18,000. Because that score beats Player 1's score......Player 2 posts....New Base....18,000. Player 1 now has 3 tries to beat the 18,000. Player 1's first score is: 5,660. Since they did NOT beat Player 2, they post in chat..... 1X Player 1's second score is: 4,440. Since they did NOT beat Player 2, they post in chat..... 2X Player 1's third score is: 16,890. Since they did NOT beat Player 2, they post in chat..... 3X Player 2 is declared the winner because Player 1 could not beat Player 2's score in 3 chances. If a player ties the score they are trying to beat it does NOT count as a strike. They get to play that strike over again. (In essence it was a freebie try.) Always make sure your Opponent has entered your room before beginning your game. If you start before your Opponent enters your room, you must restart your game. If you were not in an Opponent's room before they started their game, you must notify them before they finish and post their score for that game. If you do not notify your Opponent before they have posted their score, then that posted score will stand and they will not have to re-start their game. Once tourney starts, Players will have 5 minutes to begin their first game. No-shows will be reported as a loss. Player listed on top of bracket starts first. ALL scores are to be announced and acknowledged in chat by everyone playing in the tourney. Failure to do so may be cause for removal from tournament. All losses are to be reported on TOURNEY PAGE ONLY!! If you have to type in a name, you are reporting on the wrong page! Immediately request assistance from the hosting TD. If a Player is in the middle of a game and gets disconnected from Hermanubis for any reason, then that Player must start their game over. Unless INVITED by their opponent to do otherwise. If a Player was disconnected and has to reboot, they will have 8 minutes (no ping) or 3 minutes (ping present AND delaying the match) to return to Hemanubis. Multiple reboots may result in disqualification from tournament play and a loss being posted for that Player at the discretion of the Tournament Director. While playing your game, if your OPPONENT is booted - you must halt play immediately and contact the hosting TD, who will then verify your score. Failure to do so will result in replay of your game. No Player is allowed to play in a league match while playing in the tournament. Any Player found doing so will be disqualified from the tournament immediately! There will be no exceptions to the above rule as this is also a part of Case's rules for all leaguers. You must either halt your league play at the end of the present game being played when tournament starts and keep scores to the side or withdraw from tournament to continue with league match. GOOD LUCK TOWNIES!
