MidTown Rules - Crazy 8s This is a single elimination Crazy 8's style tournament. There are strange twists to this style tournament -- you will be counting runs, dropping your 8's, or changing your 7's and 9's to 8. Will you get the most out of the 8's? -OR- will your opponent take you to task. Only your dealer really knows... Game 1 Players receive a bonus of 5000 points for every 8 card run!! . Game 2 Players will toss out 8's in their score Game 3 Players will change all 7 and 9's to 8. Once scores are posted, you must wait for your opponent to confirm before continuing. Example of scoring Game 1: 8 thru 15 card run earns a 5,000 point bonus 16 thru 23 card run earns an additional 5,000 point bonus. (totaling 10,000 points for entire run) 24 thru 31 card run earns an additional 5,000 point bonus. (totaling 15,000 points for the entire run) 32 card run or higher wins the match outright! Only post your run in chat AFTER you've come to the end of the run, no matter how long it is. Example of scoring Game 2: Player's will toss out all 8's found within their score. (Example: 2,189 would become 219.) Example of scoring Game 3: Player's will replace each 7 and 9 in their score with the number 8. (Example: 17,952 would become 18,852.). Player with highest total cumulative score will be declared the winner and advance. All rounds will consist of 3 games each, including the Final round. Always make sure your Opponent has entered your room before beginning your game. If you start before your Opponent enters your room, you must restart your game. If you were not in an Opponent's room before they started their game, you must notify them before they finish and post their score for that game. If you do not notify your Opponent before they have posted their score, then that posted score will stand and they will not have to re-start their game. Once tourney starts, Players will have 5 minutes to begin their first game. No-shows will be reported as a loss. Player listed on top of bracket starts first. ALL scores are to be announced and acknowledged in chat by everyone playing in the tourney. All losses are to be reported on TOURNEY PAGE ONLY!! If you have to type in a name, you are reporting on the wrong page! Immediately request assistance from the hosting TD. If a Player is in the middle of a game and gets disconnected from Hermanubis for any reason, then that Player must start their game over. Unless INVITED by their opponent to do otherwise. If a Player was disconnected and has to reboot, they will have 8 minutes (no ping) or 3 minutes (ping present AND delaying the match) to return to Hemanubis. Multiple reboots may result in disqualification from tournament play and a loss being posted for that Player at the discretion of the Tournament Director. While playing your game, if your OPPONENT is booted - you must halt play immediately and contact the hosting TD, who will then verify your score. Failure to do so will result in replay of your game. No Player is allowed to play in a league match while playing in the tournament. Any Player found doing so will be disqualified from the tournament immediately!! There will be no exceptions to the above rule as this is also a part of Case's rules for all leaguers. You must either halt your league play at the end of the present game being played when tournament starts and keep scores to the side or withdraw from tournament to continue with league match. GOOD LUCK TOWNIES!
