MidTown Rules - High Run!! This is a single elimination High Run style tournament. Here you get to play 3 games each...BUT...we're only allowing the highest run of cards to count. So will the run be in your 1st game that counts? OR, maybe it will be in your third game. Only your dealer really knows... During this tournament, you will be posting the number of cards in your highest run.....not your score. Each player must wait for their opponent to verify the number of cards in the run. Failure to do so may cause you to be disqualified from the tournament. Example of scoring: TD has determined everyone will play 3 games. Player 1 is playing their first game....they hit a run of 5 and post it in chat. Player 2 verifies it, and they continue. Player 1 continues and hits a run of 7 and posts it in chat. Player 1's highest single run is: 7 after finishing first game. Player 2 is playing their first game....they hit a run of 12 and post it in chat. Player 1 verifies it, and player 2 continues. Player 2's highest single run is: 12 for first game. Alternating play would now continue with each player trying to beat a run of 12. After all 3 games...neither player beats a run of 12.......so player 2 would be declared the winner. In case of the game being tied with each player having the same high run.......a death match of high runs will determine the winner! All rounds will consist of 3 games each. Always make sure your Opponent has entered your room before beginning your game. If you start before your Opponent enters your room, you must restart your game. If you were not in an Opponent's room before they started their game, you must notify them before they finish and post their score for that game. If you do not notify your Opponent before they have posted their score, then that posted score will stand and they will not have to re-start their game. Once tourney starts, Players will have 5 minutes to begin their first game. No-shows will be reported as a loss. Player listed on top of bracket starts first. ALL scores are to be announced and acknowledged in chat by everyone playing in the tourney. Failure to do so may be cause for removal from tournament. All losses are to be reported on TOURNEY PAGE ONLY!! If you have to type in a name, you are reporting on the wrong page! Immediately request assistance from the hosting TD. If a Player is in the middle of a game and gets disconnected from Hemanubis for any reason, then that Player must start their game over. Unless INVITED by their opponent to do otherwise. If a Player was disconnected and has to reboot, they will have 8 minutes (no ping) or 3 minutes (ping present AND delaying the match) to return to Hemanubis. Multiple reboots may result in disqualification from tournament play and a loss being posted for that Player at the discretion of the Tournament Director. While playing your game, if your OPPONENT is booted - you must halt play immediately and contact the hosting TD, who will then verify your score. Failure to do so will result in replay of your game. No Player is allowed to play in a league match while playing in the tournament. Any Player found doing so will be disqualified from the tournament immediately!! There will be no exceptions to the above rule as this is also a part of Case's rules for all leaguers. You must either halt your league play at the end of the present game being played when tournament starts and keep scores to the side or withdraw from tournament to continue with league match. GOOD LUCK TOWNIES and FUN TOO!
