MidTown Rules -- Shorty's Nightmare Twist ARE YOU READY FOR THE ULTIMATE NIGHTMARE? This is a single elimination NIGHTMARE style tournament. Please read the rules VERY CAREFULLY, as there are quite a number of twists to this style of tournament! Tourney Specific Rules: Each match will consist of 5 games of alternating play with the following twists: Game #1 - Players will add a 5,000 point bonus for each Round Started and then drop all #1's from their score before posting in chat. Game #2 - Players will add 4,000 point bonus for each Round Started and then drop all #2's from their score then double their score before posting in chat. Game #3 - Players will add 3,000 point bonus for each Round Started and then drop all #3's from their score then triple their score before posting in chat. Game #4 - Players will add 2,000 point bonus for each Round Started and then drop all #4's from their score then multiply by 4 before posting in chat. Game #5 - Players will add 1,000 point bonus for each Round Started and then drop all #5's from their score then multiply by 5 before posting in chat. Final Round - Players will Race to 40,000 cumulative points and drop all #6's and 7's for each game played while trying to achieve the 40K goal. Example of game during match play: Player 1 finishes Game #2 with a score of 21,570 (including any 4K round bonuses). Player 1 now drops the 2's from their score leaving them with a score of: 1,570. Player 1 now multiplies that score by 2 for a total score of: 3,140 to post in chat. Follow the above example for each game played by adding bonuses, dropping the numbers from the score and multiplying the score accordingly. Player with highest total cumulative score will be declared the winner and will advance to next round of play. Example of game during Final Round: Player 1 finishes with a score of 10,520. Player 1 would then post this score since there are no 6's or 7's to drop. Player 2 finishes score with a score of 36,670. Player 2 now drops the 6's and 7's from their score leaving them with a score of 30 to post. Players alternate play until one Player has reached 40,000 cumulative points first. If Player 1 reaches 40,000 (or better) first, the Player 2 has one last turn to try to better Player 1's score. If Player 2 does beat Player 1's score then Player 2 is declared winner. If Player 2 does not beat Player 1's score, then Player 1 is declared the winner. All rounds will consist of 5 games of alternating play as described and posted above. Always make sure your Opponent has entered your room before beginning your game. If you start before your Opponent enters your room, you must restart your game. If you were not in an Opponent's room before they started their game, you must notify them before they finish and post their score for that game. If you do not notify your Opponent before they have posted their score, then that posted score will stand and they will not have to re-start their game. Once tourney starts, Players will have 5 minutes to begin their first game. No-shows will be reported as a loss. Player listed on top of bracket decides who plays first in the match. ALL scores are to be announced and acknowledged in chat by everyone playing in the tourney. All losses are to be reported on TOURNEY PAGE ONLY!! If you have to type in a name, you are reporting on the wrong page! Immediately request assistance from the hosting TD. If a Player is in the middle of a game and gets disconnected from Hermanubis for any reason, then that Player must start their game over. Unless INVITED by their opponent to do otherwise. If a Player was disconnected and has to reboot, they will have 8 minutes (no ping) or 3 minutes (ping present AND delaying the match) to return to Hemanubis. Multiple reboots may result in disqualification from tournament play and a loss being posted for that Player at the discretion of the Tournament Director. While playing your game, if your OPPONENT is booted - you must halt play immediately and contact the hosting TD, who will then verify your score. Failure to do so will result in replay of your game. No Player is allowed to play in a league match while playing in the tournament. Any Player found doing so will be disqualified from the tournament immediately!! There will be no exceptions to the above rule as this is also a part of Case's rules for all leaguers. You must either halt your league play at the end of the present game being played when tournament starts and keep scores to the side or withdraw from tournament to continue with league match. GOOD LUCK TOWNIES & FUN TOO!
