MidTown Rules - Rounds Race!! This is a single elimination Rounds Race style tournament! Instead of racing to get that grand cumulative score we all like to see...you will be racing to see who can get to the targeted round the TD has set...Are you up for the challenge? There is no set number of games to be played in this tournament. Each Player will race to 5 rounds. Players must alternate their play during the tournament. Examples of scoring: Each Player will have 3 games in which to reach the targeted round. If Player 1 reaches the targeted round first (5 rounds). Player 2 has one last turn to exceed the total rounds of Player 1. If Player 2 exceeds the total rounds of Player 1, then Player 2 is declared the winner. However, if Player 2 does not exceed the total rounds of Player 1, then Player 1 is declared the winner. If both Players reach the targeted amount of rounds, then the Player with the highest score in the game in which they did reach the targeted round will be declared the winner. Play stops at the end of the game in which a Player has reached or exceeded the targeted amount of rounds within a game. Player 1 and Player 2 both reach round 5. Player 1's score is 25,650 in the game they reached the targeted amount of rounds. Player 2's score is 33,500 in the game they reached the targeted amount of rounds. Player 2 would be declared the winner. If after 3 games neither Player has reached the targeted amount of rounds, a Death Match will be played to determine the winner. All rounds of match play will consist of Players playing 3 games while trying to reach the targeted round set by the TD and alternating play, including Final Round. Always make sure your Opponent has entered your room before beginning your game. If you start before your Opponent enters your room, you must restart your game. If you were not in an Opponent's room before they started their game, you must notify them before they finish and post their score for that game. If you do not notify your Opponent before they have posted their score, then that posted score will stand and they will not have to re-start their game. Once tourney starts, Players will have 5 minutes to begin their first game. No-shows will be reported as a loss. Player listed on top of bracket starts first. ALL scores are to be announced and acknowledged in chat by everyone playing in the tourney. All losses are to be reported on TOURNEY PAGE ONLY!! If you have to type in a name, you are reporting on the wrong page! Immediately request assistance from the hosting TD. If a Player is in the middle of a game and gets disconnected from Hermanubis for any reason, then that Player must start their game over. Unless INVITED by their opponent to do otherwise. If a Player was disconnected and has to reboot, they will have 8 minutes (no ping) or 3 minutes (ping present AND delaying the match) to return to Hemanubis. Multiple reboots may result in disqualification from tournament play and a loss being posted for that Player at the discretion of the Tournament Director. While playing your game, if your OPPONENT is booted - you must halt play immediately and contact the hosting TD, who will then verify your score. Failure to do so will result in replay of your game. No Player is allowed to play in a league match while playing in the tournament. Any Player found doing so will be disqualified from the tournament immediately!! There will be no exceptions to the above rule as this is also a part of Case's rules for all leaguers. You must either halt your league play at the end of the present game being played when tournament starts and keep scores to the side or withdraw from tournament to continue with league match. GOOD LUCK TOWNIES!
