Black Range Lodge

On April 13 and 14 2009 a group of my motorcycle buddies took a ride to New Mexico. We rode to Globe for breakfast and then over Wolf Creek Pass to Silver City. Then on NM152 over Emery Pass to Kingston New Mexico. We stayed at the Black Range Lodge. We had the place pretty much to ourselves. They fed us dinner and breakfast. They were great hosts.

The next morning, after a huge breakfast, we went back over Emery Pass to Silver City. This road is a real motorcycle challenge as it is endless tight curves. The Harleys and the Gold Wing however did fine. We then went up US180 to Alpine AZ for lunch in the Bear Hollow Cafe. Then the treat of the whole trip, 90 miles south on US191. It is a real challenging ride for a motorcycle. Most of us arrived at the bottom without leaving the road. The ride home from Clifton was not too pleasant with straight roads and high winds but all trips must end with a ride home.
