Trip to California October 2008
It was Amy's week off school so we decided to go to California to see Jan's dad. Amy had never been to Aptos and the bay area. We rented a Toyota Prius for the trip.
We spent Tuesday just visiting all the sites in Santa Cruz. We did Pacific Avenue, Lighthouse Point and the Boardwalk.
Wednesday we went to San Francisco. We walked the Golden Gate Bridge, had seafood on Fisherman's Wharf, down Lombard Street (twice), the sea lions, Ghirardelli Square, rode on a cable car, went to Coit Tower on Nob Hill and drove through Chinatown.
Thursday we walked the beach and then drove to San Jose and took the tour of the huge Winchester Mystery House. Jan's dad went with us.
Friday we went to Monterey to see the Aquarium. Jill, Christy, Matthew, Jack and Julia went with us. We had a busy week and saw all the sights. That night everyone was over to the house. Julia took a bunch of photos with my camera.
We had a long ride home on Saturday.
