KRAMPF HONORS S.O.A.P.
Legendary drummer Craig Krampf will take part in a Sounds Of Asbury Park tribute on Dec. 9 in New Jersey. Krampf will perform behind several acts at Asbury Park's famed Stone Pony during ''The Creators of S.O.A.P. In Concert,'' a multi-artist show widely rumored to include a special appearance by Bruce Springsteen. Among the announced performers are ''Doc'' Holiday and E Street Band bassist Garry Tallent, the latter of whom lived in Nashville for a decade and a half and still owns a home here. Krampf has been recording of late with both Holiday and Tallent. The daylong S.O.A.P. celebration kicks off at noon, when the city of Asbury Park dedicates a new monument on the boardwalk memorializing the names of several musicians who helped formulate the Asbury Park sound.
