A bit disappointed upon arrival as there was no large gathering in the parks along Meridian Street... wandering down Washington Street, the fountain on Capital Commons was discovered.

Continuing on to the Canal Walk near Military Park, the celebration was revealed.

The infamous Blue Money Sideshow presented several amusing, freak show style acts just before the thunderstorm arrived.

A few images of the fireworks display...  this was the first use of a digital camera for such photographs and they needed a bit of fixing.  There was a thunderstorm just before dusk but weather cleared well before the fireworks display.  Though there were many such glitches in the plans for the day, overall the the experience and the company were delightful...  simple pleasures and wonderful surprises.
