The Indianapolis Zoo
has certainly matured since my last visit several years ago. The
most recent addition to the animal collection are the three Southern
white rhinos in the photo below. The "Rhino-saurs", as
the zoo calls them, put on a show for the crowd by taking a mid
afternoon mud bath. |

July 7, 2003... another trip to the zoo with the grandson. Only took a couple of photos, kinda busy with the boy! Hehehehe...

This new attraction of the White River State Park is adjacent to the zoo. The huge, glass conservatory is filled with tropical plants and butterflies. The outdoor gardens are divided into various garden types to demonstrate methods and plant selection.
