Help Stop World Poverty this Christmas

Internet marketers are very generous in giving their time to help with charitable causes. Marketers have websites and email lists which gives them a head start when deciding to help with good causes. It sure beats buying a few tickets from your children when they come home from school!

An excellent cause I have come across recently is the WORLD GIFTS catalogue launched by CAFOD - the Catholic aid agency. Basically, it allows you to give a donation starting as low as about $20 which can buy various essential items for improvished families in the Third World. Examples include goats for families in East Africa or water pumps for villages in Guatemala. These are lasting presents that promote rural development and self-sufficiency.

The CAFOD website URL is: http://www.cafod.org.uk/worldgifts. If you have a website or an email list, please consider promoting it this Christmas.

Wishing you every success in the New Year.

Delight your child this Christmas with a personalized letter from Santa Claus that they will remember for years to come.

Santa personalizes each letter with your child's name, best friend's name (optional), hometown, and state! The letter, of course, is postmarked from North Pole, Alaska, which is sure to thrill your child even more. Santa signs his name on the bottom of every letter so your child knows that Santa took the time to write during the busy Christmas season. Each letter is printed on beautiful heirloom-quality acid-free linen paper and mailed in an individually embossed envelope with authentic gold foil. Each letter costs just $9.95 (and includes shipping), so order today!

Tis the Season to Be, and Here's How
©2004 by Joe Hickman, HaLife.com
  • Do your shopping early, then you'll have more time to be jolly. Being jolly is free, which is nice since you'll be broke.
  • Spend only what you can afford on gifts. It's hard to be jolly when you are suffering from that dreaded disease, credit card crud.
  • Attend a Christmas pageant, a tree lighting, or go caroling. It's fun and it's free. C'mon, what do you say, Scrooge?
  • Don't drink. Drunk is NOT jolly. Drunk is drunk.
  • Play Christmas music around the house. Go ahead, play "Jingle Bells" by The Singing Dogs. But only once.
  • Go to church or sit quietly somewhere and think about Christmas.
Remember, it is NOT the birthday of some guy named Eveready.
