| Chris
Farnum is a Senior Information Architect at Enlighten. He is part
of an interdisciplinary team that designs effective and engaging user
experiences. Chris' role is to define requirements for sites based
on user needs, strategic objectives, and well-organized content. He
specializes in creating taxonomies and defining the metadata needed
for searching, browsing and content management.
Chris has been an information
architect for over nine years. Previously he was an Information
Architect & Usability Design Product Manager at ProQuest where
he helped manage and redesign the ProQuest search platform for databases
such as ABI/Inform Global. He has also worked on a diverse array
Internet sites and intranet projects at Argus Associates (a pioneering
consultancy in the Information Architecture field) and Compuware.
He is committed to incorporating user research and testing into
the design process. Chris has also worked as a professional librarian
and holds a Masters in Information and Library Studies from the
University of Michigan.
