1. You will be contacted by e-mail regarding your participation status for that week. Please reply with a "yes" or "no" by 3:00 pm every Tuesday as to whether you are playing or not that week. Contact Information: 302-227-2387 / e-mail crgolfleague@comcast.net. NOTE: If our numbers exceed 50 the course will be closed to other golfers. If you commit to playing on Tuesday and then don't show up on Thursday, you will be required to pay the $20 course fee. 2. All USGA Golf Rules apply except as noted below.
3. Winter rules apply from tee to green. If your ball is situated in an unplayable lie due to course conditions you may lift , clean, and place your ball within one club length from the original lie, no closer to the hole (choose this club wisely, longer is often better).
4. Gimmes are not allowed. You must putt out.
5. Every week there will be a prize for the fewest putts. If you haven't made it onto the green as described below you will still always be putting on every hole.
If the hole is a par 4 and you haven't made it to the green in 5 strokes, pick up your ball...
If the hole is a par 3 and you haven't made it to the green in 4 strokes, pick up your ball...
...Then place your ball 10 to 20 yards off the green, chip up, and putt out. example: your score for a par 4 hole would be 5 + the chip shot(s) + the number of putts.
6. If your ball goes in the water you may elect to drop your ball on the green side of the hazard with a two stroke penalty or you may play your next ball as described in the USGA Rules with a 1 stroke penalty.
7. Replace divots and ball marks on the greens.
