CR Rolls over Lake Forest

Caesar Rodney 99, Lake Forest 33: Five players scored in double figures for the Riders as they blitzed the Spartans.

Nakia Anderson scored 19 points to lead CR, while Jaime Brittingham and Consecharae Everson both netted 16, Patricia Millner dropped 12 and Katie Miller contributed 11.

The Riders leapt to a 24-4 first-quarter advantage and led 53-16 at halftime.

Shequanna Cannon scored a game-high 20 points to lead Lake Forest.

 

Dover 45, Milford 26: Pabnesia Zachery had 14 points and Lotoia Sudler had 10 to lead the Senators to a road victory.

Dover outscored the Bucs 17-9 in the second half to secure the win.

Amber Frasier paced Milford with 11 points.

 

Polytech 52, Indian River 33: Tyresa Smith and Kim Rowley both contributed 18 points as the Panthers defeated the Indians.

Polytech jumped out to a 34-12 advantage at halftime and sustained that momentum for the rest of the contest.

Sierra Garrison paced Indian River with 18 points.

 

Smyrna 34, Sussex Central 23: The Eagles outscored the Knights 11-3 in the fourth quarter to pull out a road victory.

Katie Powell led Smyrna with nine points, in a game where no player scored in double figures.

Candice Shockley scored a team-high nine points for Central.

 

Cape Henlopen 60, Laurel 43: Andrea Carrie scored 19 points to lead the visiting Vikings to a victory.

Cape sprinted to a 36-17 lead at halftime and cruised from there for the win.

Shukri Gibbs added 13 points for Cape while teammate Lisa Williams contributed 11.

Lenona Stanzell led the Bulldogs with 15 points.

 

Sussex Tech 69, Delmar 29: Toni Jones, Anika Jones and Britney Atkins each scored 14 points as the Ravens secured a road victory.

Sussex Tech built up a 41-12 advantage at halftime in the contest.

Jen Hastings led the Wildcats with 11 points.

 

Seaford 102, Woodbridge 27: The Blue Jays outscored the Raiders 32-4 in the first quarter and connected for 11 three-pointers overall in the win.

Ashley Burbage scored 18 points to lead Seaford while Woodbridge was paced by 11 points from Alexis Cannon.

 

Epworth to host homecoming: Epworth Christian School in Laurel is hosting homecoming activities today. ECS faces Seaford Christian Academy, with the girls varsity tipping off at 5 p.m. and the boys following at 6:30 p.m.

After the game, the Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned.
