Girls' basketball

Caesar Rodney 63, Cape Henlopen 35: The Riders garnered a 21-5 advantage in the second quarter to pull away for the win. Nakia Anderson scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for CR.

Shukri Gibbs led the Vikings with nine points.

 

Lake Forest 49, Milford 41: Shequena Cannon netted 19 points to spark the Spartans to the victory.

DeNeatra Barkley scored 11 points for the Buccaneers.

 

Seaford 57, Laurel 17: Roniece Williams scored 17 points, including three three-point baskets, to power Seaford over Laurel. Tonya Purnell added 11 points for the Blue Jays.

Kurstan Johnson led Laurel with six points.

 

Smyrna 62, Woodbridge 19: Samantha Snow scored 13 points while Cheri Bryant added 11 points to lead Smyrna.

 

Delmar 40, Indian River 33: Serena Thomas scored 16 points and Janai White contributed 13 to lead the Wildcats to the victory. Delmar outscored the Indians 10-2 in the fourth quarter to clinch the win.

Sierra Garrison led Indian River with 14 points.

 

Sussex Tech 61, Sussex Central 40: Myesha Everett led the Ravens with 13 points while Brittany Atkins scored 11 and Toni Jones added 10. Tech outscored Central 20-3 in the second quarter to propel the Ravens to the win.

Candice Shockley paced the Knights with 16 points.

 

Lake Forest 69, Woodbridge 14: In a game played Monday, Shequana Cannon scored 15 points to pace the Spartans. Kate Neeman and Keekee Henderson added 10 points apiece.

 

Epworth Christian 35, Holly Grove 24: Charmaine Reid Reid scored 15 points to lead Epworth Christian. Joni Harper scored eight points while Heather Dukes added seven points for Epworth Christian.
