Seaford girls defeat Dover in Delaware
LOCAL ROUNDUP
DOWNSTATE - Seaford High rallied from a seven-point, first-quarter deficit to down Dover, 57-47, on the opening night of Henlopen Conference girls' basketball on Friday.
Ashlee Burbage poured in 15 points while Angela Owens added 14 points to power the Blue Jays. The Senators led, 20-13, at the end of the first quarter before Seaford rallied to take a 30-27 halftime advantage.
Pabneshia Zachary and Caitlin Grant each scored 10 points to lead Dover.
Sussex Tech 60, Lake Forest 26: Andrea Harper scored 16 points while Cole Pavlik tossed in 10 points to lead Sussex Tech over Lake Forest.
Shequanna Cannon scored 10 points to lead Lake Forest.
Caesar Rodney 72, Polytech 44: Nakia Anderson netted 26 points while Patricia Milner added 11 points to spark Caesar Rodney.
Nikki Hayes scored 16 points while Paula Green added 12 to lead Polytech.
Delmar 56, Woodbridge 45: The Wildcats out-scored the Raiders, 19-10, in the fourth quarter to break open a close game. Three Delmar players finished in double figures, including Jannae White (18 points), Shanta Dickerson (13) and Kennedy Keenan (10).
Brittany Kilgoe netted a game-high 22 points for Woodbridge with Rayna Horsey adding 16.
