Our next port of call was Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands. We've been to Grand Cayman several times. Celebrity Zenith in Grand Cayman Normally ships tender off the shore of Georgetown and use the local tender service to shuttle passengers into town. The sea was too rough for our ship to tender in the normal spot. We had to tender about 30 minutes away and take buses into town. The bus ride cost $5 per person each way. There were several buses waiting, so it wasn't a problem unloading all the passengers that wanted to go ashore.

Georgetown, Grand Cayman Originally we had planned on taking a private tour of the Turtle Farm at Boatswains Beach. They were going to show us around the new facility which will be opening later this year. Since we were now further from the ship, we were afraid we'd not get back to the ship in time.

Therefore, we decided just to do some shopping in town. During the shopping talk onboard the Zenith, we purchased a discount booklet that offered free items, such as CD or Caribbean music, souvenir coins, and jewelry. The shops were spread through town, so we walked from store to store checking out the bargains and getting our free trinkets.

As usual, I will describe the ports that we visited on our cruise. On this particular sailing, several shore excursion tours were possible. Visit the page for each port to find out what tours we took. Don't forget to check out my photo albums for additional pictures in each port, as well as pictures onboard the Zenith.
