Princess Cruise Lines Tahitian Princess - Bora Bora
Apr. 24-25, 2004
Our next port of call was Bora Bora in French Polynesia. This island in the middle of a beautiful lagoon is known as "the Pearl of Polynesia". I'm sure you'll agree this is one of the highlights of the cruise.
We arrived in Bora Bora around mid-day and were anchored there overnight. This gave us a day and a half to see the sights of Bora Bora. We decided to explore Bora Bora on our own the first day and then end with a Champagne Sunset Sail, which departed at 4:30 pm and returned at 7:30 pm.
On day 2, we decided to book two
shore excursions . From 8:30 am to 10:30 am, we donned yellow helmets for the Bora Bora Aqua Safari. We then took the Tupuna Mountain Safari And Island Tour from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. We have enjoyed 4WD excursions on other cruises, so that's why we decided to book this tour.
Make sure you check out the Photo Gallery drop-down for some outstanding pictures of Bora Bora.
On webshots.com there are well over 1000 images to choose from.
I've selected a few slideshows from just the first few pages of search results (click this link to do search for yourself). This is not meant to be an endorsement of webshots.com -- I simply couldn't believe the shades of blues in these pictures and had to share them with you.
