Tahitian Princess - Polynesia

Apr. 17 - 27, 2004

We had three different destinations in mind for a cruise in 2004: Tahiti, Panama Canal, or South America. After comparing all our options, Click here for more Tahitian Princess Pictues we decided on the Tahitian Princess - 10 Day Polynesia/Cook Islands cruise.
We booked cabin 8030, a mini-suite, on Deck 8 .

This was our first cruise on Princess Cruise Lines. We've been on several cruises on Carnival Cruise Line which now owns Princess. A friend of ours had been on the Tahitian Princess when it was a Renaissance vessel and loved the ship. Click on the cabin picture for more photos (on KodakGallery.com.) aboard the ship.

As usual, I will describe the ports that we visited on our cruise. On this particular sailing, several shore excursion tours were possible. Visit the page for each port to find out what tours we took.

Click on Hilton LAX room picture for more pre-cruise pictures We booked our own air transportation to Los Angeles and then used the cruise lines air from there. This saved us several hundered dollars (there is a $500 surcharge from other airports). We flew to Los Angeles on April 16th and stayed at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport.

Read on to learn more about our flight to Papeete and the other ports of call we visited. If you want to dream, put yourself live on the bridge of the Tahitian Princess.
