The Tears at St. Tayr
For Clans Gunn and Keith to end the fight, They chose a place to meet one night. Twelve men came from the Clan Gunn But, before all was said and done, Clan Keith arrived with twenty four At the St. Tayr Chapel to rush the door. Sons of the Gunn chief fled to Dalraid, Where young brother, Henry, came to their aid. While Clan Keith bragged of their dishonest part, Henry shot the Keith Chief right in the heart. “The compliments of the Gunns to the Keiths!”, he exclaimed, As he bent his bow and at their chief aimed.

I trace my ancestry to Clan Gunn from Scotland. In the upper left corner of this page you’ll find the Clan Gunn Crest. The words in it are the family motto in Latin. They translate to “Either Peace or War.” |
