Although we celebrate biodiversity every day, the first week in June is set aside to honor and recognize the biodiversity across our state. Learn about the amazing variety of plants and animals we coexist with. Guided by local naturalists, we'll see how interconnected life is.
Local Food Fest
Saturday, August 25,12 noon – 3 pm
Gather with other folks in the area who are committed to the local food movement. Sample local foods from farmers and food purveyors. Meet Red Tomato, Inc. and see how they cultivate livelihood for small local farmers. Bring your own specialty to share and local gardens will supply the rest of the feast. All are welcome!

magazine to reflect and discuss our place in cultivating a positive
future in our locale and in the larger culture. Participants take

Simply Keep it Local
Join SKIL (Simply Keep It Local), a study/action group which meets on the third Monday of each month to focus on "living locally." Discover and create ways to promote the power of local farms and gardens. Learn the particulars and art of eating from local food sources, of food preservation and of fostering a life style that mutually enhances the community of life. This is an adventure in jou.
