Subject: SubstanceWe usually think of substance as matter. However, Mary Baker Eddy's definition of substance includes the realization that God is the creator of all, and that which God creates is eternal. For example: "I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him." Eccl. 3:14 Mary Baker Eddy went even further by saying "In divine Science, the universe, including man, is spiritual, harmonious, and eternal." and that matter is unreal, nothing. -fcr |
