Recap
The match was close early with Bob going 2 UP after 4 holes, then back to 1 UP after 6. Neither player was really on their game at that point. Then both players bogeyed holes 7, 8 and 9 and Bob won all 3 to go 4 UP at the turn.
Will played very well on the back nine and close the gap to 2 UP after 11, but Bob strung together Pars on 12 and 13 to go back up 4. Holes 13 and 14 were halved and the match went dormy, when Will made a 3 footer on 14 to half the hole and keep the match alive. Bob put his drive on 15 into the weeds and roots around a tree right of the fairway and had to take an unplayable and landed up shooting an 8 with Will shooting a bogey 5 to win the hole and extend the match.
On the par 3 16th, Will's tee shot was short right of the green and Bob's shot was in the left edge of the trap on the left side of the green. Will got his 2nd inside of 5 feet above the hole and Bob made a great shot out of the bunker and onto the green. Both players 2 putted to score bogeys and Bob clinched the match.
Will said after the match that "I got Spanked!"
