Welcome to the CSC Golf League 2001

Attached is the schedule for April 16, the 1st night of the first half.
Please check into the pro shop and pay your greens fee ($18.00 for the
league) and then proceed to the starter at the first tee.  The starter
governs all play.  The Indian Spring Golf Course has set our league start
time at 4:30 pm.  This means that for 8 groups to play the last group will
be teeing off at 5:15 pm.  The starter may (or may not) allow some to go
off on the back nine if possible.

Please play "ready" golf.  Walk directly to your own ball and play when it
is safe and you are ready.  More on this as the season progresses.

The 4-some captain (*) will call each player on Monday to coordinate
a mutually agreeable start time.  1st tee time is 4:30 pm.

After that, we use a modified USGA handicapping system with stroke control.

The FORMAT of play is medal play
within the 4-some : 1 point being awarded for each player you beat
and match play between the 1st & 2nd golfer and between the 3rd &
4th player for 3 points each.

CSCGL00 will play all USGA rules, except that you may ROLL over your
ball in your own fairway;  you may rake out a lie in a footprint in a
sandtrap and take a drop; and all "out of bounds" penalties are stroke
only, not stroke and distance.
