     It is official that the CSCGL02 FUN_NITE_II is at WILLOWBROOK on
Monday, 16 September.  Our first tee time is at 4:00 pm.  Pairings and
directions and further details will be provided by Friday_the_13th.

From Rt. 130, take 613E and the course is 2 miles on the left.

From Rt. 295, take Exit 43 from the south or 43B from the north.  Proceed 2
lights (approx. 4 miles), make a left and go 1 mile.


FORMAT

The format for Fun Nite II is a fourball stroke play 2 man team handicap
event.  Each team member plays their own ball.  The captain of each team will mark 
the scorecard indicating which holes each golfer is getting strokes based on their 
handicap and the difficulty of the hole.  (see sample card below)

After the play of each hole, the captain will enter the gross scores of each player.  
On the line under the gross score, the captain will enter the net score of each 
player.  Then the captain will circle the lowest score of the two team members and 
that score will be used by the team as their score on that hole.  The players 
continue to enter their scores for all 9 holes like this.  Once the team has 
finished 9 holes, the circled scores will be totaled and the lowest team score 
will win the competition.  If there is a tie, we will have a putt off on the 
practice green.


Here is an example scorecard based on 2 players' actual scores from Week 7.




Team total is 33.  Since Dave's Handicap is 21, he gets 2 strokes a hole
except for the 3 most difficult holes, which he gets 3 shots.  Since my
handicap is 10, I get 1 stroke on each hole except #5, where I get 2 shots.
So it really is a team competition where each player can contribute even if
they have some bad holes.
