ISGC has scheduled a party of sufficient size for shotgun golf
tournament that we are cancelled for Monday, August 5, 2002.  The CSC Golf
League's next scheduled play night is Monday, August 12.

Reminder: We probably won't be playing next Monday, August 5th. There is a scheduled outing at Indian Spring Golf Club. We will be checking with the golf club in the next day or so to confirm this and we will post any news here and in email as soon as we know.

NOTE: I finally got around to fixing the standings pages so that they list all golfers that have played this year. The standings that I posted last week (week 1 and overall) only showed golfers who have played in the second half. Now both standings show any golfer who has played at least 1 round this year.

Of course, I have also posted a list of each players next handicaps sorted by either handicap or by name.

Fun nite was a partial bust because of the weather. We were able to run the Putting contest before the evening was called and I will post the full results later this week. But I will announce the winning group in 16 putts (9 hole competition) was:

UPDATE: (5/7/2002)

There was a mistake in entering the scores for one player for this week. I keyed in the wrong score on one hole and since the scorecard did not have totals to compare with, I missed it and it got posted to the webpage. The player noticed the error and reported it to the CSCGL braintrust. I have since made the correction and reposted the affected pages. The change did affect the standings and the players next handicap, so they are now correct. You may need to click the refresh/reload button to make sure you have the latest version of the standings/results/low net pages. (You may also need to delete your Temporary Internet Files) You can tell you are looking at the correct page by checking the updated date at the top. It should be 5/7/2002.

Sorry for any confusion.

Reminder: Please remember to total your scorecards and double-check your math. There were discrepancies on total scores on 3 scorecards turned in to me last night. It also helps me to check the totals on the card so that if I have trouble reading a number on the card, I have an idea what the score should be. Oh yeah, please write legibly!

Ready, Set...

Hi,

The Golf League is almost ready to start. Circle Monday, April 15, 2002 on your calendar. After you put your tax forms in the mail, you'll need a break. Schedules, etc will soon be in the mail.

REMINDER: Indian Spring Golf Club allows SOFT-SPIKEs only on the course. ISGC dress code is strictly enforced: shirt with collar, no jeans or cutoffs.

Message from the President: 
Hi,

The CSC Monday Night Golf League will continue in the year 2002 at Indian Spring Golf Club. The start date is Monday, April 15, 202 and the projected end date is Monday, September 16, 2002. The Monday night greens fee will be $20.00 for non-ISGC members. The word from ISGC is that they are doing a lot of work to toughen the course by adding sand traps. So practice those sand shots.

It is anticipated that there will be room for new members this year. Please indicate if you plan to participate in the CSCGL02. The dues is anticipated to be $20.00. Current members of the golf league are requested to respond by March 15, 2002.
