Craig's putting and sand play were terrific. Craig had a par sand save on Red #2 and #9. Craig had 7 one putt greens. Craig's long game was very good with only 2 errant drives. His drive on Blue # 6 was just so-so, but he recovered with a long iron over the pond which held the green, setting up his match winning birdie putt.
Ed played well winning the Red #1 and Red #8 to bring the match close, but Craig's "sandy' on Red #9 brought the match to 3 UP going into the Blue nine. Ed's driver let him down on several holes. Ed won the Blue #1 hole to close the gap to 2, but then Craig birdied Blue #2. Ed was still in it as he won Blue #5 when Craig got into trouble off the tee. Craig's birdie on Blue #6 ended the match.
