| Anne's Cocoa Fudge | |
Place the cocoa in a saucepan and stir into a smooth paste while adding some of the milk. Then add the sugar, butter and all but 1/4 cup of the milk. Cook over low heat until able to from a soft ball when dropped in cold water. At this point, turn up the heat on the saucepan and add the remaining milk. Bring to a boil. Remove from the heat before adding the vanilla. Beat until just thick enough to pour into a greased flat pan. Allow to cool before cutting in small squares for serving. You may wish to add 1/2 cup chopped walnuts along with the vanilla. The recipe may be doubled but remember not to rush while combining the ingredients. | |
