Buttermilk Waffle Batter | |

Preparation: Sift together the dry ingredients. Combine the buttermilk and eggs before adding to the four mixture. Beat until smooth. Pour into the center of a hot waffle iron so that the batter spreads to about 1 inch from the edges. Bake according to the directions for your iron. Remove hot waffle and repeat with rest of the batter to make additional waffles. Toppings may include butter, syrup, honey, and fresh fruit. As a dessert, this dish may be served with strawberries and whipped cream. |
