Crumb Cake |
Ingredients:

| Preparation: Mix the flour and brown sugar. Soften the butter before combining with the flour and sugar. Blend until the texture resembles crumbs. To one cup of these crumbs add the first measure of cinnamon and the nuts (almonds are recommended).To the remainder of the crumbs add the soda, salt, spices, and baking powder. Beat well before finally adding the milk and eggs. Spread the smoothed batter into a greased 9 x 12 pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes before sprinkling the reserved crumbs over the top. Bake about 10 minutes more. Serve warm or allow to cool. |
