Another great recipe

Heirloom Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter or Crisco oil
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • dash baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
  • 1/4 cup powdered dutched chocolate
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp. liquid coffee or water
  • 1 bag (12 oz.) chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup raisins and/or chopped dates
  • 3 1/2 cups old-fashioned, uncooked oatmeal
Preparation:
Pre-heat the oven to 375° . Spoon the batter onto greased sheet pans and bake for about 10 minutes. You only need to grease the pans before the first batch goes into the oven. Fill your cookie jar and freeze the rest in several plastic bags. For a change of page, you may wish to substitute peanut butter chips for chocolate chips or combine the two flavors.
