Maple Candy

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup cream

  • 2 cups real maple syrup
Directions:
      Boil the cream and the syrup until you can form a thread with a stirring spoon (about 234 degrees if using a candy thermometer). Cool. Then beat until thick, smooth, and creamy-looking. Drop by small spoonfuls onto wax paper or spread out in a buttered pan and cut into squares. You may wish to add chopped walnuts to this very sweet candy. You can use metal molds to shape maple leaves and other figures too.
