Another great recipe


Maple Surprise Cake

Ingredients:

One cake mix, yellow, any brand

One box instant pudding, vanilla or butterscotch

Four eggs

3/4-cup butter, melted or cooking oil

1/2-cup maple syrup and 1/4-cup water

One tablespoon crushed pecans (about 4 pecan halves)

Preparation:

  Beat these items for about three minutes. Place the batter, which will be somewhat thick, in a greased and floured bundt-cake pan, tube pan, or angelfood-cake pan. Bake in a pre-heated 350° oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Allow to cool for 15 minutes and then reverse the cake onto a serving plate.
  Prepare a white frosting with shredded coconut or multi-colored sprinkles.

  Serve with vanilla ice cream and extra maple syrup for a topping.
