Another great recipe


Mariann's Cooked EggNog

Ingredients:
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt (optional)
  • 1 qt milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla (or, to taste)
Preparation:
      Mix the eggs, sugar, salt, and half the milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, with the goal being to reach 160° F. Then add in remaining 2 cups milk and also the vanilla. Refrigerate overnight and then, just before serving, pour into a pitcher or punch bowl.
      Allow your guests to add spices such as ground nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, ground cloves, and also alcoholic brews (if on the menu). Top with whipped cream or even ice cream, if desired.
